Amazingly cute animals that don’t get glorified

Posted on December 18, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

There are tons and tons of animals these days that just cont get glorified, even if they are cute. However if you do want to know about a cute critter that isnt as typical as a cat or hamster then you have come to the right place.

1. Sugar glider (Petaurus breviceps) domesticated

The sugar glider was practicaly invented for this list, they are marsupials about 3/4 the length of your hand (at adolescences) but have a fluffy bushy tail about twice their body length. They live about 12-15 years making them a good companion. They can glide up to 150 ft, have little claws that allow them to crawl around your body, and the best part is they are domesticated house pets. Their cute factor is self-explanitory.

2. Guniea-pigs C. (porcellus) domesticated

While I admit that guniea pigs are fairly well known they often go over looked and there are actually less domesticated guniea pigs then sugar gliders. The guinea pig is the perfect starter pet for your young child, they are inexpensive, easy to manage, cute, and not very high priced.

3. Ferret (M. p. furo) domesticated

A domestic ferret

The ferret is a excelent alternitive to a cat, if you want a nice pet that can wander around itself but dont want to be to cliche a ferrit is deffinetly for you. The ferret has a average length of 15 inches plus a 5 inch tail. A ferret lives on average 7-10 years and is very playful. They are most active around dusk and dawn. (To be continued….)
